Location
Villarrobledo enjoys a perfect location, very close to some of the main tourist attractions in Spain. Furthermore, just a few kilometres from Hotel Casa Lorenzo, you can discover the incredible story of Don Quixote, who is the protagonist of the famous novel Don Quixote de la Mancha.
Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park
The visual spectacle of this oasis in the middle of the Montiel countryside will surprise you. The scenic beauty of this Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful in Castile-La Mancha, will not leave you indifferent. It has 16 lagoons, located along the Pinilla river valley and connected to each other.
Windmills – Campo de Criptana
They are the hallmark of Campo de Criptana that inspired Miguel de Cervantes to write chapter VII of the first part of Don Quixote.
Criptana had 34 windmills, today there are 10 ‘giants’ that have been restored. The mills ‘Sardinero’, ‘Infante’ and ‘Burleta’ were declared Sites of Cultural Interest in 1978.
Almagro Village
Declared a historic-artistic site because of the beauty of the city centre, with the original Corral de Comedias, the Plaza Mayor with arcades, a jewel and centre of daily and festive life, Renaissance cloisters, Baroque mural paintings in San Agustín, 18th century palaces, the National Theatre Museum and the Ethnographic Museum.
Tablas de Daimiel Natural Park
Declared a National Nature Park and Biosphere Reserve, the Tablas de Daimiel is a wetland that is practically unique in Europe and the last representative of the ecosystem known as fluvial tables, once characteristic of the central plains of our Peninsula. It has unique species of fauna and flora.

The town of Villarrobledo holds very important festivals and fairs of international relevance, which do not go unnoticed.
Viñarock
One of the most important music festivals in Spain and even in Europe, known worldwide, which in 2016 brought together more than 200,000 people for its 20th anniversary. It is held every year in our town, Villarrobledo, at the end of April or beginning of May.
Villarrobledo Carnival
Declared of National Tourist Interest, the Villarrobledo carnivals are one of the most important in Spain, being also one of the most participative. For more than a week, everything in Villarrobledo is Carnival. Amongst the official celebrations, the Murgas and Chirigotas contest, and the Adult and Children’s parades stand out. But it is the locals who make the Carnival a big deal, putting on shows in the streets and squares, with their own costumes, each one more original than the next. The whole of Villarrobledo is, at this time of year, one big fancy dress party.
Villarrobledo Fair
The Villarrobledo Fair attracts tourists from all over Spain. It has been held between 14th and 19th August since 1845 and has maintained its popularity since its beginnings. For a few days Villarrobledo offers an exceptional atmosphere, it is the time chosen for family reunions, and for the return of those who once left but have not lost their roots.
